The Adventure Begins

One morning, nearly 30 years ago I met a boy called Adam. He was new to our school. At first he was quiet even a bit shy. We became friends, then good mates. Time has moved on and our lives have taken greatly different paths. Adam, AB or Wombat, depending on how you came to know him, is not so quiet and shy anymore but we are still mates. 

This blog chronicles our family's journey to the distant shores of South Africa to attend AB's wedding - an affair long overdue but as the proverbs say, good things come to those who wait and Adam's wait has certainly brought him a good thing in his fiancé Collette. It's just a pity she didn't come from Sydney - South Africa's sooooo far away!!!!!!
